Financing
Pay by the month,
if you’d rather.
Financing is available through our lending partner. Terms come after your site visit, once there is a written scope to finance. Not an offer of credit.
What is financeable
Most of what
we build.
If it is on the line-item contract, it can usually be in the loan.
- Kitchens and baths, including cabinets, stone and fixtures
- Additions and ADUs, from design through final inspection
- Whole-home remodels, in one loan rather than room by room
- Roofs, windows and exterior work
- Electrical panel upgrades and plumbing brought to code
- Design and engineering fees, when they are part of the contract
How it works
Four steps,
none of them ours.
We introduce you. The lender decides. You pay us the same way either way.
Site visit and written scopeDay 0 – 3
The lender needs a scope to lend against. That is the same document you need to decide.
ApplicationWeek 1
Online, about fifteen minutes, with the lender directly. We are not part of the credit decision.
TermsWeek 1 – 2
The lender sends terms for the amount on the contract. Fixed monthly payment, no prepayment penalty on the plans we have seen.
Draws tied to stagesDuring the build
Funds are released at the same stages as our progress payments: foundation, framing, rough-ins, finishes.
Good to know
The plain
version.
- Terms, rates and approval are set by the lender, not by Halden Builders
- No payment is due to us until the contract is signed
- You can use your own bank or a home-equity line instead; the schedule does not change
- California limits a contractor’s deposit to a small fixed amount or ten percent, whichever is less, however you pay
