About
About ObraUp
ObraUp builds and hosts websites for licensed California contractors. We made 27 designs, three for each of nine trades, and we set up the one you choose with your business name, license number, services and photos. ObraUp is a service of Obra Tech LLC, based in California.
Why we started
Every year, thousands of Californians earn a contractor license. Many start without a website, and the usual options mean weeks of back and forth or a template that looks like everyone else's.
So we built websites around the nine trades we know best. Your license tells us your trade, you pick the design you like, and we set it up with your business details. You get back to work.
How we use license data
When you enter your license number, we match it against public California contractor license records to find your business name and classification. That's how we know which three designs to show you, and it's where the license number on your site comes from.
If you don't have a license number handy, you can pick your trade from a list instead.
What we don't do
ObraUp is a website company, not a construction company. We don't sell search engine optimization or ad management, and we don't promise leads or rankings. The businesses, people, reviews and photos in our sample designs are examples, and we replace all of it with your real details before your site goes live.
What we care about
Trade first
We design for nine trades, not every business on earth. That focus shows in the details.
Finished work up front
Homeowners hire what they can see. Every design leads with completed projects.
No busywork for you
You run jobs. We handle setting up the website so you don't have to.
